One manufacturer for the complete controlled envelope
As a Cleanroom Door & Window manufacturer, Pharma United produces swing doors, sliding doors, hermetic doors, wall-mounted gazing windows and door interlock systems in our own factories. We serve pharmaceutical manufacturing, semiconductor and electronics cleanrooms, hospital operating rooms and sterile processing, biotechnology research, and food production lines.
The product family belongs to our Cleanroom Products portfolio, and it is engineered to work with our modular wall and ceiling panels. Because we manufacture both enclosures and openings, we coordinate frame depths, wall thickness, sealing planes and access control as one system rather than assembling unrelated components on site.
Our two factories in Kunshan and Qianjiang, China, give us direct control over sheet metal fabrication, door leaf assembly, glazing, gasket installation and final inspection. Completed projects in Africa, the Middle East and South Asia have included both material packages and full turnkey delivery.
Cleanroom Door & Window range and application fit
Each product line is positioned for a specific balance of cost, traffic, chemical resistance and access control. We size every unit to the door schedule of the project.
| Product line | Typical construction | Configuration | Application fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cleanroom PCGI Door | Pre-coated galvanized steel facing | Single-leaf or double-leaf swing | Cost-effective GMP areas, laboratories, food workshops and electronics cleanrooms |
| Cleanroom HPL Door | HPL sheet facing | Single-leaf or double-leaf swing | High-traffic pharmaceutical corridors, operating rooms and frequent disinfection areas |
| Cleanroom Stainless Steel Door | Stainless steel sheet facing | Swing, with glazing and hardware options | Wet cleaning, chemical disinfection, corrosion-prone and long-life areas |
| Cleanroom Sliding Door | Metal-faced door leaf | Single-leaf or double-leaf sliding | Space-constrained cleanrooms and equipment movement routes |
| Cleanroom Emergency Door | Robust leaf with escape hardware | Outward-opening escape configuration | Evacuation routes and emergency exits from clean zones |
| Cleanroom Gazing Window | Sealed glass unit set into the wall panel frame | Fixed single or double glazing | Visual monitoring between adjacent cleanroom areas |
| Interlock System | Electrical or electromagnetic door control | Door-to-door sequencing logic | Personnel airlocks, material transfer locks and pressure cascade zones |
Critical specifications and material choices
All swing door leaves in the range use a steel door frame and steel door panel with paper honeycomb infill as the standard construction, which keeps the leaf flat, light and dimensionally stable. The size is customized for each opening; glazing, colour and interlock can be added to the same leaf.
- PCGI surfacing — smooth pre-coated galvanized steel for standard GMP or hygiene zones.
- HPL surfacing — durable laminate facing for high-traffic and frequent disinfection areas.
- Stainless steel surfacing — for wet, corrosive and chemical-wipe environments.
- Gaskets — rubber or silicone gaskets close the leaf-to-frame gap to support pressure differentials in ISO Class 5 to 8 rooms.
- Vision glazing — sealed gazing windows or vision panels can be integrated into door leaves and wall openings.
- Finish options — antibacterial and antistatic coatings are available for medical and electronics applications.
- Fire-rated options — available where the project code requires a defined fire resistance.
Configuration, controls and interlock logic
Door configuration starts with the access movement: single or double leaf, swing direction, self-closing hardware, panic escape and whether a vision panel is needed. For spaces that handle materials, we combine door leaves with air shower doors or pass-through windows from the cleanroom equipment range.
Interlock systems are configured to the room cascade you define. The logic prevents two doors from opening at the same time, supports pressure differential and cleanliness, and reduces cross-contamination between adjacent zones. We specify the interlock units together with the door schedule, so the status contacts, locking action and manual release are matched to the actual leaf layout.
For automatic sliding doors, the package includes the drive system, activation sensor, safety beam and emergency release logic needed for daily production movement. We also coordinate sliding door leaf width, opening clear width and room pressure with the panel opening dimensions.
Engineering value and factory control
Pharma United is a manufacturing supplier with its own production base, not an assembly trader. Our Kunshan and Qianjiang factories operate CNC laser cutters, bending machines and punching machines, and our quality path runs from design and manufacturing through installation, validation and after-sales service.
For overseas projects, our engineering team uses BIM visualization to coordinate the door and window schedule with the panel layout and utility positions. We support both complete turnkey delivery and material-package supply with technical guidance and project management. This lets an overseas client use the same production control for doors, windows, panels and equipment while keeping the commercial scope clear.
Quality, acceptance and documentation
Before a door or window is prepared for shipment, we check the leaf dimensions, facing finish, glazing seal, gasket profile and interlock components against the approved schedule. During site acceptance, the same schedule is used to confirm opening direction, door closer action, gasket continuity and interlock response.
For GMP-regulated facilities, we can support DQ, IQ and OQ preparation and construction records together with the owner's consultant. Fire-rated, antibacterial and antistatic options are specified at quotation stage so the compliance evidence is aligned with the required room classification.
Information we use to configure your solution
- Door schedule: room numbers, clear opening width and height, leaf count and swing direction
- Wall system: panel type and thickness, frame depth, opening position in the wall
- Cleanroom parameters: target ISO class, pressure differential, airflow direction and GMP zone
- Performance requirements: fire rating, hermetic sealing, acoustic or impact resistance
- Surface finish: PCGI, HPL, stainless steel, colour, antibacterial or antistatic coating
- Hardware and access control: glazing, locks, panic bars, closers, automatic operators and interlock logic
- Site scope: material supply, technical guidance, or full installation with local coordination
- Utilities: power, control or network points, and any required integration with cleanroom equipment
Maintenance and serviceability
The main wear points in a cleanroom door package are the sealing gasket, door closer, sliding track and interlock actuator. Gasket compression, hinge alignment and door closer force should be checked as part of the room's routine inspection, because they directly affect pressure differential and airborne particle control.
We document the door schedule so leaf size, hardware and interlock components are traceable for future replacement. This keeps maintenance planning simple and avoids guesswork when a gasket, glazing bead or locking device must be renewed.
Cleanroom Door & Window FAQs
What is the difference between the PCGI and HPL cleanroom doors?
PCGI uses pre-coated galvanized steel, which is economical and easy to clean for standard GMP zones. HPL uses a high-pressure laminate surface, giving better impact resistance, scratch resistance and a more durable face for corridors, operating rooms and frequent traffic.
Can cleanroom doors be supplied with viewing windows and interlocks?
Yes. We add vision glazing to the leaf and install the matching interlock contacts on the frame, so the access logic controls the same physical door. The glazing size, frame type and interlock function are specified together to preserve the room seal.
What information does Pharma United need for a door and window quotation?
Send us the door schedule, wall panel thickness, target cleanroom class, pressure differential, preferred surface finish and hardware or access-control requirements. That is enough to return a configuration with leaf sizes, glazing options, interlock logic and delivery scope.
Are fire-rated, antibacterial or antistatic options available?
Fire-rated door options are available where the project code requires them. Antibacterial and antistatic finishes can be selected for medical or electronics areas, and we confirm the applicable option at quotation stage so the compliance documentation matches the design.
Do you support overseas cleanroom projects beyond door supply?
We provide two service models: complete turnkey delivery, or material package with technical guidance and project management. Both can include the cleanroom panel system, door and window package, cleanroom equipment and site coordination, supported by our two factories and overseas project experience.
